I transformed a Proxxon MF70 milling machine into a custom three-axis CNC system, combining the precision of the original machine with modern, accessible control hardware and software. Powered by an Arduino running the latest GRBL firmware and controlled through CNCjs, the system supports web-browser-based G-code uploads and operation via an integrated touchscreen. To complete the conversion, I designed and 3D-printed a custom cooled electronics housing that follows the distinctive Proxxon aesthetic, creating a cohesive integration of hardware, software and industrial design.
